Cloud

Interactive in-browser game created for Verizon’s “Small Business” company and was accomplished along side copywriter, project managers, and a front-end developer.

Main goal:
To communicate the benefits of using the Verizon Cloud to their loyalty program users part of the “Small Biz” program. This game was housed in their “Small Biztown” in-browser application that showcased small games and information that rewarded their users with loyalty points when completed.

My role:
Conceptualize and design a game that showcased the capabilities of the Verizon Cloud. Worked with copywriter and front-end developer. Presented storyboard to client and provided mockups with animated gifs to be used for game development.

More Information:
The game is inspired by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, borrowing the element of inputting memories into a computer, and the memory game “Simon Says”. The player must first select the device that has the memories they wish to save to the cloud. The scientist associated guides them through the process of selecting memories to be house in the “Cloud” - represented by a robot. Once the player selects the memories - or colored icons that represents contacts, video, calls, pictures, and messages - they must submit the memories in the original order onto the new device. If they correctly submit the memories, they win the game, however, if it is incorrectly submitted the player loses and must start over.

Design tools used:
Adobe Photoshop (mockups and GIF animations), Adobe Illustrator (storyboards)
